The Secret Knots
Comics by Juan Santapau
I always feel enriched after reading one of your comics. Well done, as always.
Lovely stuff.
There’s a minor typo in panel 11. I think it should read “The Vatican didn’t sanction it…”, though “The Vatican never sanctioned it” would also work.
I’ll fix it. Thanks!
I just *had* to read it again! You keep outdoing yourself!
You continue to rock my socks sir!
I applaud your restraint! It is a lovely piece, thoughtful and unusual.
I find it amusing that the automaton was sainted, not its builder. 🙂
Also in panel 11 the use of excomulgated works but ‘excommunicated’ is more commonly used in English.
Thanks everyone! Tim: Indeed! I left out a comment on how this was an example of a certain local mentality. Anon: Thanks for the tip.
That was an awesome story. Amazing work Juan.
Always a delight to read your tales
This is like something Borges might have written, or something Italo Calvino might have been trying to write.
Italo Calvino has certainly been an influence for these Santa Marina comics.
I just came back and re-read this. Just as beautiful as last time.
Just found your site, I really like this one!
