you are the borges of webcomics, with your own clear voice and lingering sad tone…
amazing color and line, each panel is beautiful

Thanks!

Here via Echo Bazaar. This is rather delicious.

Glad you like it, visitor from Fallen London!

Your work is beautiful.

Also here via EBZ, subscribed. “The Borges of Webcomics” 🙂 !
I love your use of halftoning, e.g. on the senator and the boxer, and the economy of your backgrounds make them really evocative.
Straight on my blogroll.

Terrific, amazing, wonderful.

Juan, I want to marry your imagination.
Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if that were already an idea (someone marrying someone else’s imagination) you’ve had for a story before.

Incredible, as always.

Also here from Echo Bazaar (and I’m glad you guys said so, because I couldn’t remember how I found this webcomic!) I’ve now read through your entire archives and can safely say I’m now a huge fan. It reminds me very strongly of some of Neil Gaiman’s stuff, at least in writing. The art style…it’s on the tip of my tongue, and I can’t quite place it, but it is nevertheless very poignant and beautiful. I do hope you continue updating, as I’ll be spreading you around amongst my friend network as much as I can without being gagged with a sock.
Juan
You can check out my ‘Inlfuence Map’ here: http://santapau.livejournal.com/24110.html It certainly includes Gaiman. Thanks, and I hope some of your friends enjoy the comic too!

In the third panel, the objects under the glass dome are Japanese characters. I only caught this after many read-throughs. Great little detail.

“Excuse me please. I’ve got enough work already.”
I’m equally worried that I’m reading too much into this, and that I’ve “got” it this time.

I came here via io9, your work is stunning. I love the stories you create and the pictures match them perfectly.

I spot a photo of Cousin Anastasia from Matryoshka in the eleventh panel. Delightful!
