I feel like the Cicada Man Festival took me in a bolder direction with the coloring. Maybe I’ll have to revise a bit the color in the final version of the comic to make it more consistent. But I rather like the panels of the crowd, so those might stay that way.
Another rumination: drawing music instruments is a bit hard (they have weird angles and proportions) but fun at the same time. I’m oddly satisfied with the pose of the bass player in the concert panel. I feel it looks like an actual performance pose.
