The Mesh

New comic

As promised, this comic features some of you as part of the spontaneous airport cult! So, special thanks to Aimee, Doug, Mary Ellen, Tarah, Pt and Pablo who volunteered as cast members and sorry for your ridiculous occupations, as seen on frame 5. Also I should mention my friend Rodrigo who sent me the New York Times magazine article that inspired in part this nonsense.

I hope you have enjoyed the comic, thanks as always for your support and for flying with us on “air

That’s one of the Secret Knots horoscopes made some time ago, the first one if I’m not mistaken. My first Patreon goal has been achieved (thanks), so new horoscopes are coming. Do you have a sign of choice for the next one? Feel free to comment and suggest one.

As I write this, i’m at the penciling stage for the next comic, and a little behind the schedule I wanted. But I’m fond of this particular story and look forward to finish it. It touches some characteristic topics of my comics I guess, but it’s condensed in the two pages format I’m working currently, which changes the narrative and requires the visual elements to be very narrative.

Inspiration and recreation this week comes, among other things, from:

Re-reading: The Filth written by Grant Morrisson, drawn by Chris Weston and Gary Erskine. My housemate brought this trade so I found myself diving again in this meticulous Morrissonian psychedelic dystopia. As a side note, reading this kind of material before sleeping has an interesting effect on my dreams. It’s the kind of comics that transmits ideas in an infectious way I guess. It speaks directly to my dreaming brain. Does this kind of thing happen to you? Do you avoid/enjoy watching Hannibal before sleeping? Do you modify or reinforce your rest with a particular piece of music or writing?

I keep watching Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, and it gets better with each episode. Also, watching some anime series again but I’ll leave the detail of those for a next blog.

Feel free to leave comments. Thanks for your support and have a great day!
