Abyssal

New Secret Knots comic: “Abyssal”.

The Secret Notes 19-Jun-18

The picture above is from the last time I did a “casting among patrons” for supporting roles in one of the comics, and it’s time to do one again!

I do need to restrict it somehow, though, so it will be open to 3+ Patreon tiers and even so I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to put everyone interested in it. But new thematic portraits will be coming later.

So if you want to be depicted as a background extra on the next comic, you can email a reference picture (or remind me of a previous one you sent) to gemeloperverso@gmail.com with the subject Secret Knots Passengers and I’ll do my best to include you as one of the characters in this story, which happens in an airport, if that serves you as reference.

Thanks once again for your support,

Juan

The Secret Notes – 16-May-18-Circus in Town

Thanks to all the brave participants on this skewed version of the Biggest Show on earth! Here are some of your portraits:

First of all, Ringmasters of course, in this case keeping it real. Here’s a couple of them

Next, the risky act of playing with exotic beasts, with a Specific-Subject Expert mesmerizing her snake with opinions on classic fantasy, and two fearless tamers of redundancy

It’s no circus without creepy clowns, in this case transcending our limited comprehension of time, space, humor

A popular choice: The Siamese Twin Whose Twin is Not on this Plane of existence. Here are some of them:

Finally, a couple of patrons wanted to show us the ultimate introvert act: the useful skills of Party Escapism

It was fun! Bravo to all of you.

Thank you very much!

Juan.

New comic – (Untitled yet)

I’ve been struggling with this idea for long. No more, town of soliloquies, you win. You are out there now as a comic and I don’t care if you make sense anymore.

Do you talk aloud when you are alone? I do this a lot and I’m not even counting dialogue with the cat. But what’s even better it’s when TWO or MORE casual soliloquists are together. It’s nuts, like when a press row ends and all reporters talk at the same time to their own stations.

I hope you like the comic.

I’m sending out the last Secret Knots Circus performers. It’s a fun circus so I’d like to showcase some of them next on the blog.
