A midnight court.

In this edition: a new comic and a sneak peek at a game project.

New comic.

I've been away from the newsletter for some months, but now that the new comic is up, I want to leave the link here in case you haven't read it yet. It’s called The Reclusive Artist, and is another experiment with scrolling. In this case, the vertical features are not as prominent as in the previous story The River, but I think they help convey a feeling of sinking, as we found out the truth of the vanishing artist in the plot. You can judge by yourself how much it works, here.

There’s also a companion dossier post on Patreon, with more about the origins of this story, and some sketches and reference pictures.

Courtiers.

This is one of the characters from a solo, print-and-play cards game I’m working on.

I’ll be updating with more news of this game, but if you are interested in downloading it as soon as it’s released, you can follow me on Itch.io. The title is still undefined, and I’m still working on details of the mechanics and the last card illustrations. It’s about a fantasy court, where you face different challenges in order to depose an evil duke. It’s very much eighteen century inspired.
That’s all for this brief edition of the newsletter. Thanks a lot for reading, and I’ll see you soon with more stories. I hope you like the comic!
