  1. I was going to leave a somewhat ambivalent comment about the suddenness of the last three panels until I noticed the actual last line. Now that I see that, I think it ties the comic together very well.

As for the content, it seems pretty similar to the last page of the Unspeakable as far as theme goes. A “life without things that shake in the shadows”, certainly. I love the idea of the unknown writer of many tales.

  2. That’s interesting, it confirms my concern that the last line might get lost in a quick reading, so now I added an actual frame for the last panel to avoid that. (because that’s how I thought it,as a blank frame with a sentence on it)

  3. Wonderful!
The avatar of a mediocre demigod.

  4. flat eyes!?… mmmm

  5. Just the right mixture of charming and poignant. I love how you’ve used color here, too.

  6. I really enjoyed this. (I’m not the sort to usually read web “comics” or to comment, but I’m really impressed. 🙂 )

  7. Esto es genial.
Una sola cosa, eso sí: El “engaged” se lee un poco… extraño. No quedaría mejor “occupied”?
Dejo hasta ahí mi comentario obsesivo para reiterar que es la raja esto.

  8. This one’s a bit too sad for me. It’s a cliche, but writing is such an introspective occupation, no? So there’s always an edge of self-judgement, of wishing to live in your imagination rather than simply channel it, and blame yourself for not being able to. You mention it in the name is the hardest part & the truth fairy (my favourite so far) as well. Fantastic work, keep it up.

  9. Just found this comic today – love your work, this one especially. I just wish there was more of it to read

  10. That hit me really hard. Thank you.
