Abyssal

New Secret Knots comic: “Abyssal”.

Comic – “Dark Pursuits”

I spent October doing my own drawing challenge that involved making what I called “gothic portraits” for everyone who asked for one, here on Patreon. It was fun to revisit this reward, and I felt that I should wrap it up this time with something appropriate, so here’s this imaginary journal comic where I Iive in a haunted castle dealing with ghosts and I keep a bottle from a fancy brand of Absinthe to indulge in dark deeds.

Thanks everybody for your support, and thanks to those who sent their pictures for letting me share the results. It was a lovely experience to make characters and portraits out of your pictures and I hope you enjoyed seeing your gothic versions relaxing in the storm and haunting manors and ruins, as I enjoyed imagining and drawing those scenes.

I’ll see you soon with new stories.

Patreon Portraits – October ’20

Hello. Traditionally I make special portraits for subscribers to this Patreon in October, spooky thematic drawings for you to use as seasonal icons for your online persona, or simply to try a fun mask on the privacy of a well hidden file, along with your deepest secrets. This year is no exception and as usual, it’s open to all Patreon tiers.

I’m going with a reprise of a fun theme: Gothic Portraits, such as the crazy eyed, malign looking relative, maybe still alive somehow, that we see in a range of stories, from old classic movies to scooby doo episodes. These are some samples from a previous time:

You can submit again if you were in the past round, no worries. Maybe this year your portrait will seem to follow our eyes across the room with renewed cosmic -or mundane- horror, yeah.

Feel free to start sending your reference photo to gemeloperverso@gmail.com with the subject GOTHIC PORTRAIT to be part of this reward.

Customizations

This time, customization options for 10$ tier subscribers may include a different era, such a the previous roaring 20’s fashion (very suited to Lovecraftian horror), wuthering heights-esque dramatic costume and candelabra, medieval madness from a cursed heirloom, or an added wicked companion, human or animal. You can edit your pledge to get one of these or other customizations for this reward only, if you like.

As a small bonus to this message, this is an old comic I’ve been reposting, because it is something short and sweet, and I still like it. I hope you are all well, hugs! and many thanks.
