The version at the website is slightly different from the one posted earlier here, with small changes in the text and a new format intended to be friendly to mobiles. I should warn you it contains a small easter egg in the form of hidden additional background info. Have you find it yet?

 In other news, I realized I have failed to offer the promised rewards to those who are on the $3 tier of patronage and it’s something I would like to fix. I would like to rethink that particular tier and its rewards in a manner that is satisfying to you and involve material I can actually produce in a monthly basis. I apologize for how the changes will affect the initial commitment, and meanwhile I plan the new reward for this tier that should come to effect in December, I want to compensate for this by offering new drawings to everyone at the $3+ tier this month.

in November I’ll be drawing animals. Mascots, pets, animal friends and friends’ animals. It doesn’t matter if they are yours or someone else’s, these animals drawings can be a nice end of the year gift to someone you know. Send your reference pictures to gemeloperverso@gmail.com and I’ll send back a drawing you may print in approximately a postcard size format. Does that sound right to you?

Hello and thanks once again for supporting The Secret Knots. A new short comic is on its way, slowly crawling from a semi-hiatus and a personal creative low, product of life vicissitudes.  In order to celebrate this reanimation and considering the next month is dearest to fans of horror iconography, I want to offer a special giveaway to all patrons, regardless of their support tier.

I’ll be making quick ‘It’s ALIVE!’ avatars for anyone who claims them, turning your picture into a reanimated being, inspired of course by Frankenstein’s creature and his lovely bride. Above you can see a comparison of my own face and my electrically reanimated counterpart. Any failure in likenesses can be attributed to the rough, experimental alchemical process involved, and as such should be forgiven in the name of mad science and the search for preternatural eternal life.

You must send your reference pic to gemeloperverso@gmail.com and wait for the traditional signs: the primal storm and the maniacal laughter that indicate your avatar is ALIVE.

Note: I will be displaying some of these on social media. (And perhaps on some victorian scientific magazines where my theories have been ridiculed. That’ll show them.)

I was hoping to post a preview of the next comic this time but it will take longer than I expected, so this will be just a brief artless update. 

A family loss has kept me busy in various ways for the last weeks, as I process it in its concrete, and also less tangible terms. I feel better now -and that’s why I wanted to keep you up to date with the state of the comics, here. The Secret Knots is a very dear project to me and telling these stories is also a way for me to connect with others, tap into emotions and ideas,  and keep looking ahead. 

I like to believe we get closer to each other around stories,  and sometimes in that proximity we heal.

 So, once again, I thank you for your help to make the comic possible and I hope to be sharing soon a glimpse of a next comic that’s just getting off the ground.

Hello. I wanted to share the reference for the characters in the last comic, a couple of devils from a medieval manuscript, the second one being a depiction of Lucifer, actually.  Right now I’m at a similar stage for a new comic, only in this case it’s about a different supernatural realm, and I’ll make sure to posts those concepts around here too.

As usual, thanks for your support: this month I will cost the website hosting for another year thanks to Patreon funds, just to name a very concrete example of what it translates to.
