It’s always the automata.
This comic, as some patrons may have seen, has this companion comic about its direct inspiration, which is the Shakespeare authorship controversy. It’s all a sort of parody of the conspiracy, and in the end I took some liberties for fun. I really hope you like it!
Feel free to pint out if you see any typos or other errors, and thanks once again for your feedback and support, which makes these stories possible.
With the comic in progress, “The Real Capello”, I’m using the excuse of revisiting the history of the author of the fictional play “The Duke in the Shadows” to comment on / parody some conspiracy theories around the figure of Shakespeare. (The Duke in the Shadows comic, after all, was inspired by the superstitions behind the play Macbeth) As I said in Discord, more than the theories themselves, it’s the history of this frenzy to find secret authors behind the work that I find fascinating. So I thought I’d add some “side notes”, about this crazy centuries-long story… which ended up becoming a side comic, in this case a non-fiction comic, which I’ll be sharing in installments as exclusive Patreon content. I hope you like this idea!
